Lakeland Community College Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating a class action lawsuit against Lakeland Community College (“Lakeland CC”) in Ohio after it announced that a data breach affecting 285,948 people.

In a data breach notice filed with state authorities, Lakeland Community College stated it discovered unauthorized access to its network between March 7, 2023 and March 31, 2023. Lakeland has identified that Social Security numbers are impacted by the breach. Lakeland CC’s failure to protect sensitive information may violate state and federal laws, including privacy laws.
