Commerce/MAPFRE Insurance Company Data Disclosure – Class Action Investigation

Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating a potential data disclosure involving Commercial Insurance Company and MAPFRE Insurance Company. MAPFRE sent notice to 266,142 individuals informing them that between July 1 and July 2, 2023, MAPFRE disclosed their personal information, including driver’s license information, to unauthorized recipients. MAPFRE began sending notices of the incident in late August 2023.

MAPFRE’s disclosure and failure to protect sensitive driver’s license numbers, other motor vehicle information, and other personal information may violate federal and state laws.
